Dr Lightbreaker

Dr Rudolph Luminos was a leading scientist aboard the international space station. However when a crystalline sample was retrieved from a passing comet the Doctor's examination went completely awry. While studying how the substance reacted to harmonic vibration the crystal shattered into tiny pieces which pierced the scientist's suit and embedded in his flesh. The crystals grew, consuming his body but bonding to his nervous system which somehow maintained his life. Discovering the he was now a composite alien being with the power to separate light into multi colored beams for various effects, Rudolph embarked on a career as a scientist adventure code named Dr Lightbreaker.
