Ok so on this page we see that the cover isn't a gimmick but it actually pays off with something that happens in the book itself. Wish more big time comics did this. I'm pretty sick of comics that have exciting covers but the content isn't reflected in the story within, the ole bait in switch steals another $4 bucks! Not so with Southern Comics friends! If
it's on the cover its gonna be in the book!
So we see the beach is not so idyllic as it first appeared. Who would have thought in a superhero comic that local danger would be prevalent? Luckily there is a (somewhat oblivious) hero hanging out on the beach!
